Tonight (or last night I should say), DMeikle asked me to post on the Forum and let you all know that the show by Detroit Jimmy Scott at Greektown was "Awesome."

Jimmy was joined on stage by Harley Brown, and Ali Woodson. I tried to leave after the first show, but Ali Woodson wouldn't let me go because his soulful voice was singing to my soul. We stayed for all three shows. What a night. The band, comprised of TFO Horns and The Dramatic Players rhythm section, were fantastic. I won't tell you how great the show was because you would think I am partial to our artist here in the City. I'll let someone else tell you about it.

Our good soulful friends Spyder Turner and Gee were there. As well as Tonya Hood, Misty Love, and other musical artist.

DMeikle and Harry met all three individuals, Jimmy, Harley, and Ali Woodson. They came to our table. DMeikle went backstage. Is this man lucky or what? It's not what you know, but who you know. (Smile)

People were there from other cities letting us know how much fun they have everytime they travel to Detroit.

(Will someone please call and wake me up at 11:00am so I won't be late for Detroit Memorial?) :-) GoodNite.

Soulaholic - Thank you for waking me up. I woke up at 10:35 misteriously. :-)

BTW, our dear Harry went backstage and took a photo of/or with Ali Woodson. He was thrilled. Last night brought the groove out of Harry. He had so much soul, it was hard to keep him contained. I can imagine Harry was dancing in his sleep.

Soulaholic,

In the UK vernacular the term 'brilliant" or even "brill" is an affirmative, all encompassing comment with respect to something which is great, or positive.

Thank-you Bobby;

It is good to be reassured of my assement of that commonly used word by those from the Isle's off of Europe that claim they speak English !!!

On a personal note sure wish you could have made it in town. You were missed.

Spyder Turner - I was so happy to see you and Gee at the show. Didn't we have a great time. Ali Woodson certainly was not ready to leave. As they say, we were just getting started when it was time to go. I was sure you were going to join them on stage. In fact, that's why I stayed for the last show.

And Spyder, let us know what you think of Mr. Wendal on the bass. :-)

Misty Love, and Tonya will be performing at Hart Plaza on the 23rd - 25th. Let me know if you are going to either one of those shows, and I will meet you there. Get in touch with Tonya.
