The former J5 guitar slingler was here in Chicago (Berwyn actually) on the Fourth of July playin' Da BLUES 'yall. And doing a damn good job of it too. The gig was booked as Tito Jackson and the Jackson 5 band. I stopped by thinking I would catch Tito with Johnny Jackson and Ronnie Rancfer(sp)and who-knows-who on bass. Not so.. The drummer was white and the guy on keyboards looked too young to be Ronnie. I couldn't stay long enough for the band intros, so I could be wrong. Who-know-who was on bass though.

The old man looked good and sounded far better than I expected. He sang all the lead vocals while I was there and sounded a lot like Jackie with a little darker voice. He still plays great guitar and can throw riffs with the best of 'um.

I could only stay for half of his set though, did anyone else catch the whole show?
