Rob Wigley in England has alerted me to the following news :-

"I am currently working on a project with Melvin Davis to produce some new Detroit product on limited edition 45 s
we hope to have something presed by october
could you please drop the news as a taster for Detroit soul fans about his project, we hope to produce 3 45s a year and the money made will be put back in to the project to record more stuff Pat lewis already involved as well and some other Big Names and new stars as well (Soul all the way)"

Great news David! Met Melvin at Prestatyn earlier this year! hope this new adventure of his is fruitful! Its nice to see the orig artists who worked to make the Detroit sound still promoting there art. If there is any more info from Rob Wigley please let us know David! Thanx. Graham&Rosy.

That#s great news! I'd love to hear new songs on vinyl by Melvin, Pat and any other Detroit artists who may get involved. There's a lot of talent still around, and the more outlets for the public to hear their product, the better.
