Good question Mel. I've asked Brenda about who he was and she says does not recall much about him. |

He was an L.A.-based songwriter who co-wrote several songs together with the more well-known writers for Finesse Music, and its related L.A. Jobete Music office staff writers. He worked with Hal Davis, Marc Gordon, Frank Wilson, Willie Hutch, Brice Coefield, The Pipkin Bros., and the rest of the regular crew. I think I've seen a few early-mid '60s records under Jessie Harris, on small L.A. labels. I can't remember them now, and won't be near most of my L.A. soul 45s until November. So, can't help with more info. |
