A mate of mine at the week-end showed me a list of about 15 unissued motown 45s or thereabouts but when he showed me the list I was intoxicated. anyway I will try to get the list again but as I have a lot of motown unissued acetates in one form or another and cant be bothered at this time to dig them out what is eating away in my head is him mentioning a Mary Wells version of Brenda Holloways 'when I'm gone' I am not an expert when it comes to motown and without digging out my material and listings does this 45 unissued or not ring any bells with anyone. apologies if this is all old hat but like I say motown is not my forte then as TonyC would say 'what is your forte mel' appreciate any feedback motown mel(yeah right) |

Hi Mel, The single you mentioned was supposed to be issued as a "follow up" to "My Guy" Motown 1061 A Mary Wells When I'm Gone Jul-64 **Unissued**. Released by Brenda Holloway on Tamla 54111-A. Motown 1061 B Mary Wells Guarantee (For A Lifetime) Jul-64 **Unissued**. The song was later released on the album "Vintage Stock" Motown 653 by Mary Wells and other later compilations on both vinyl and CD. PS Mel, I can give you a list of hundreds of unissued Motown 45's and album tracks, just let me know... or just take a look at my website www.seabear.se Lars |
