I had the sheer pleasure of seeing these two talented artists in concert at Chene Park on Wednesday, June 30. They were both awesome and came with the best that they had. I almost forgot how sultry Lalah's voice was (she slayed me on "I'm Coming Back" and "When Life Is Low") and Rahsaan was on fire with his many vocal acrobats. It was great that the crowd was singing some of his songs that were not part of his show...he had a ball with that. It's a shame that these two are so underated in the industry but the good news is that they both have new cd's coming out in September. Actually Rahsaan's is out now overseas but he is going to add a few new tunes and release it in the states. |

Glenco you are so right!
I love both of these artists! Have you heard Rahsaan on songs, "Streetlife", What Am I Gonna Do? I have his 2 cds as wells as Lalah's and also the project she did with Joe Sample. I can't get enough of them!

...but isn't it so amazing how Lalah sounds like her dad Donny ??? If you listen real close, you can definately hear Donny in there hiding (smile). |

SDF, I love Rahsaan's version of "Street Life"..what's so interesting is Lalah also has a version of that song on the cd that she does with Joe Sample. What cd is "What Am I gonna Do" on?..Medusa, I'll have to listen for that. |

glencro (sorry for the mis-spelling of your name), The song is on Jimmy Sommers cd called LoveLife.
I understand both of them will be here in Chi-Town in August. I will purchase my tickets the minute they go on sale!
