Some GREAT records there, all them James Brown (and Marva Whitney) are some all time faves.Isleys "I Turned You On" is one of the funkiest jams ever.Ike & Tina were smokin'. I'd forgot that Bettye Swann did "Angel of the Morning"must be on Capital..I never liked the song though. "No Matter What Sign You Are" is one of my fave Diana Ross records.Thanks Lenny thats the year I got outta school.

Hi this is Kev-Lo hey Lenny great list but J.J. Jackson's BUT IT'S ALRIGHT came out before 1969,It came out in the fall of 1966

Weird, huh? It was rereleased in '69 on Warner Bros. It peaked at #45 a couple of weeks later.
Back in '66 on Calla Records it peaked at #22 in the Dec. 10th issue.
