Whew not that I'm all Tempted out.. thanks NY-Dell for the lively art of conversation. I forgot to post about seeing Kem and Stephanie Mills at Taste of Chicago Wednesday evening. Dam sure was hot on the Lakefront when the show started about 5:45 pm. Kem opened the show and had the ladies eating out of his hand all evening. He had a tight 5 piece band with him and he was as relaxed and suave as ever. The MC Chi-towns Tornado quipped that Kem was from Detroit and had walked all the way to Chicago on Halsted Street. Kem was graicious and performed the songs from his recent CD. Thanks Detroit for the import by the time Kem finished it was cooling off until Stephanie hit the stage......dressed in all black cat suit she was 5 ft of pure dynamite....

The Princess of Soul Ms. Stephanie Mills who looking good as hell for a 46 year old woman (her words folks) proceeded to tear the house down with all of her hits....yes all of them. Her stand outs were Two Hearts that she sang with Mr. Gordon Chambers and Feel the Fire which she sung with a member of her background singers. Yes it was a great time in Chicago and those two artists were dam near perfect on a great evening by the Lake. Sweet sensation....what a fantasy........and her encore was of course "Home" from the Wiz........

Ms. Mills doesn't perform enough...she's had a rough personal life...I'm glad she still got it. I saw her about 3 years ago at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City....came on by surprise and surprised Teddy Pendergrass.....and did a duet "feel the Fire" wasn't a dry eye in the house.
