Mel, I remember them too, they opened for the tempts, and Eddie was handling them at the time, don't know what happened to them...but they were good! |

Mel, I've no idea where they are or who they were - but they did have one 45 on the EJK label (Eddie Kendricks' initials) called "You Better Come On Out And Play." |

Hi Mel. SWISS MOVEMENT had a 45 released on Casablanca records around 1974/5. NB-0805 TRY SOMETHING / A CHANGE HAS GOT TO COME Heres a label listing that shows it. http://www.kissfaq.com/casa/ca sa-45.htm I used to have this and "Try Something" was very similar to the material that THE TEMPTATIONS did on their first post-NORMAN WHITFIELD "Temptations do the Temptations" L.P. I believe that you are correct in thinking that they were managed by MELVIN FRANKLIN as I recall this from a feature on them in either Blues & Soul or Black Music at the time. I've never owned a record by POSSE, although I do recall the name and I'm sure they had a couple of releases through Motown in the U.S. ( I shall have to check the discography in Sharon Davis's Motown book). Feel like giving up is the same song co-written by Paul and Eddie Kendricks and sung by Paul produced by Eddie that was to have been released in 1973 on the Gordy Label G 7125 with Once you had a heart on the flip. It never got released at the time due to Pauls untimely death. Dont know but I assume that Posse recorded it first as their version was released on V.I.P. in 1972 0n V.I.P. 25069. If anyone wants to hear Paul singing Feel like Giving up and the flip of the single it is on the One By One double CD by the Temptations, Feel like Giving Up is on the Year By Year CD for the year 1973 Seek and you shall find Melmo |
