Hi this is Kev-Lo you know somewhere between your childhood and adulthood you may have experienced a day in your life that was special and historical, and it had a great impact in your life. Well one of the most historical days of my life was when I graduated from high school. Which was exactly 28 years ago yesterday. I still remember that day very well and I felt good and proud waering my cap and gown.Did of you SD's have a historical day in your past that you may want to share with us and talk about. |

well....this sounds silly, but my most historic time was when a pretty girl called me her BOYFRIEND! I tried to be nonchalant about it but inside i was SOARING!!! Hell...I didn't even know she felt that way. She made an awkward, introverted, overweight kid feel accepted and connected. |

I've had so many historical days in my life that I can't decide which one is the most special. I guess I'll have to use this one. Hopefully, it won't go beyond this thread. It's something similar to John's story. Okay. I guess it started in the middle of the first semester back in ninth grade. There was this boy named Recordo Bates. I saw him a lot around school since he was in most of my classes and I saw him at lunch. Well one day in Spanish class, we were paired on a project. And I promised that if we did project that I'd help him with his Spanish if he'd help me with my math. Well, one thing led to another and one day he asked me to his...his...girlfriend! There I said it okay?! I never told anyone this until now. I still talk to him nowadays. I still see him when he spends time with his dad. Promise you won't tell anyone, okay, guys? |

I believe JohnE is referring to Dinelle's last comment, "Promise you won't tell anyone, okay, guys?" |

I think my most special day was when Cal Street of the Velvelettes said to me. John, can I practise "Aint Nothing Like The Real Thing" before I sing it on stage with Ali Woodson. So I now have Cal singing to me....I got your picture hanging on the wall....aint nothing like the real thing.... Ain't nobody gonna take memories away from me like that... |

Hey John, Here's my opinion about that: Lexus - $40,000 Ticket To Aretha Franklin Show - $450 Honus Wagner T-206 Card - $1,000,000 Cal Street singing to John Lester - PRICELESS!!! Smilin at ya, wishing you..... Peace! Juice |

Thanks Juice.. Cal thought it was just no big thing and I'm telling EVERYONE about it. She overheard one time and just looked over.....and smiled. |
