"One Degree".....I have it on tape. It's ok. "Light in My Window" is a nice song. Haven't listened to it in a long time. Should get it out.

Faye's album is a classic! It really shows the depth and beauty of her voice...maybe someone out there could get it re-released and really give it the push it should have had years ago! anyone got any ideas?

Fayette is such a nice lady with a great personality, and i agree with Jay Jay, her album " one Degree" should be re-released on cd, there are some fine and good songs on it that express thequality of Fayette's voice, as far as i know the album was released in the UK and on a very small label in the BENELUX....it became a collectors item.fayette live

Fayette's solo album is worth being re-released. I was deeply impressed with her charms on it.
There are some excellent record companies positive to the reissue, UK..Sequel, Pickwick, US..Rhino, Collectables, Japan..Vivid Sound, P-Vine etc. It would be great that we could
let them know on this thread how we wish it should be re-released, and tell them in each country how wonderful the album was. But I wonder who has the license...

Gordy...The album "One Degree" was released in the UK '79 on "Chopper" label, which catalogue number is "CHOP E3". (I heard it was also released in the Benelux...??)
I hope you will be able to get one some day.

Its good that there is interest in a re-release...but perhaps Fayette should be advised first...its a great idea but when it comes to the business side of things, its best not to take matters in hand until its all been sorted with the Artiste...does everyone agree? Katsu...how do you know these labels have an interest in Faye's album?

JayJay...It is only my mere wish. If it thinks seriously as business, it is hard to move them only because I like it, as you are saying.

I've come to the conclusion that whoever sings the high note in a girlgroup get the least amount of leads. Fayette(3Degrees) Florence & Cindy(the Supremes) Jeanette & Pam(the Emotions)Kat Anderson(The Marvelettes)Linda James (Love Unlimted)Shelly Clark(Honeycone)Sarah Dash (Labelles)etc

I never even knew that Fayette recorded a solo LP. This is all fascinating to me. If it is ever re-released, I will definitely buy it, so I hope those labels are out there listening!

hi again....Fayette is a wonderfull person , i had the luck of spending some time with her in Philadelphia a couple of years ago! what a great lady, she was such a good host, showing us Philadelphia, dinner and long talks, i never forget that! she's now singing in a choir, singing gospel, and jazzy songs.
We really miss her voice on record....
Lucky for us there are her songs she did with the Degrees and her beautiful solo recording "ONE DEGREE"....
She's never forgotten and highly regarded by her loyal fans....and there are a lot!

The album "One Degree", as it showed in the album-title, Fayette took all the lead and background vacals by herself. Her vocal register was very large and her voice had much tone color. I love all the songs on the album, especially the song "Sympathy" sounds my heart deeply.

I have seen the show with Fayette line-up only once and met her personally as well. I was fascinated with her tenderness and grace. And she was a lady of intellect. She gave me a sincere message which was written with the very beautiful character.
