My husband heard a short clip this morning on the news that Rick Fox and Vanessa Williams are splitting up due to his infidelites. There were allegedly some pictures of him getting REALLY cozy with another woman. I hope it's not true!! What's up with these Laker guys? Will he be in the dog house with Kobe? His "Vanessa" is keeping him on but the other Vanessa is kicking Rick to the curb...sigh...hope it's not true. WHY CAN'T PEOPLE STAY TOGETHER????? | ||

There have been blind items all over the media about Rick Fox's infidelities for months. The New York Post had an item that suggested he had a hot affair with Viveca A. Fox. It is amazing. What makes a man cheat on someone as beautiful as Vanessa Williams? Halle Berry? Maybe someone on here could help me with this. I know men will do it in the mud if allowed to but when you have a woman home like these ladies, you need some help. | ||

Hi Cleo Harvey, I always ask myself the same question. But I realize that sometimes beauty is indeed only skin deep. There may be other issues that we not not privy to. We see the glitz & glamour that they want us to see. However, sometimes love is definitely a battlefield. On the other hand, he could simply be a jerk. He's almost as pretty as she is. Egos can be very destructive if not tightly reigned in. With that said, I think that I could "force" myself to be with a woman as gorgeous as her. Perhaps I'll send her a picture. Naaah, that would definitely be a deal breaker!! | ||

Hey guys -- a man shouldn't cheat on his wife period. It shouldn't matter if she's hot or not. That puts the onus on the woman to keep her husband home and happy! Absolutely. A woman should not cheat on her husband. BUT we were discussing a man cheating on his "hot" wife and whether it was justified because her looks. Hahaha I was just teasing Linda... it's true that man cheating always gets more publicity, and surely if I was in Eric's (Benet) or Rick's shoes I would definitely feel blessed to have such women at my side (although my wife has nothing to envy these ladies! hey stop kabongging me on the head with the pastry roller!) This is without a doubt something that puzzles all men here... but like Juice said (welcome back man) beauty is skin deep... just because you're beautiful doesn't mean you're not a nutcase or somebody just impossible to deal with in eeryday life... Beautiful people are like ugly ones we got exactly the same problems but just inside a different skin... So it is only normal that there would be as much cheating (in percentage)... That at least clearly shows that the cheating man is not after somebody 'MORE' beautiful (at least in this case)... or he'd be the luckiest person in the world to score with the two hottest babes on the planet! hahaha Wonder B | ||

Sex addiction is an addiction very similar to gambling--the rush/the impact on the brain chemicals...I know people who were desparate to stop-who truly loved their partner-and they couldn't tho treatment and support groups can free a person--it may take hitting bottom just like drugs and alcohol. I dont know Mr Fox - just sharing in general. The beauty of the partner has nothing to do with it. | ||

Well, I guess there are many reasons for this kind of thing. I could see it if you married someone, for whatever reason, and then found your soul mate. I have seen this happen and you cannot fault someone for following their heart. But Rick Fox and Eric Benet were just screwing around all over the place. Several months ago, Vanessa Williams was part of a Broadway charity event and when the doll entered the room she literally stopped the event cold. She looked incredible and most of the men in the room were salivating. And with all the children she has there couldn't be a problem in the bedroom. I simply don't get it.... I guess this is one for bigger minds than ours.... Maybe we should contact Dear Abby.. LOL!! | ||

That's one thing that I hate about these celebrity marriages. By the very nature of the business, usually very healthy & selfish egos are involved. It seems that many of them get caught up in the glamour of it all & don't really take the time to know their partners. How many times have we heard of whirlwind marriages??? T-Boz & Mack 10, Chilly & Usher, J-Lo & whoever, Liz & Richard, Brittney & the guy she married on a whim & who just got engaged to her dancer & so on, & so on. It seems that many of these folks get caught up in the glamour of it. Then they marry & discover that the thrill is gone & that they can't do what they did as a single person. Usually two folks can't be dominant in the household & survive. Both are used to the accolades & butt kissing. Usually, someone has to put their ego aside in order to placate the other. When you have two equally successful folks who are used to being the center of attention, that can be a recipe for disaster. | ||

She, Vanessa, the "doll" who has "all the children" and, of course, there could NOT "be a problem in the bedroom". Oh yeah? Really??? On a personal level, I disdain characterizations of women and a failed marriage based on bedroom duty. It's offensive. Women bring so much more to a relationship other than sex. Putting the sex aside, perhaps there were other issues that contributed to the failure of their marriage (like the fact that Rick lives in LA and Vanessa in New York) and it's appropriate for me to say that it's none of my business. I respect Vanessa in her own right as a talented singer, actress and, most recently, spokesperson for the FREEDOM CENTER (http://www.freedomcenter.org/). With that said, I think the dynamic Vanessa has the potential, as any woman, to brings so much of herself in any relationship and we should *NOT* judge the rumored failure of her marriage based on her sexuality.
