Mel. On the Goldmine C.D. that was issued to tie in with the Wigan 25th anniversary there is an instrumental track credited to HONEY TOWNSEND which uses the same backing music as "What Shall I Do" by FRANKIE & THE CLASSICALS and "Moonlight Music and You" by LAURA GREENE. Is this the one that you are mentioning, and if so .. is there yet another vocal version that uses this backing track with Honey singing on it? Roger |

Mel .. When "What Shall I Do" by FRANKIE AND THE CLASSICALS was re-released by Pye on their "Disco-Demand" label in 1974 I read a brief piece about it in "Black Music" magazine ( I think) .. that mentioned that the track had been used on half a dozen different recordings .. I shall have to try to dig it out over the weekend. I think one version was called "Beautiful Day" or something similar. Personally I think its a fantastic track ( or should that be a (TEDDY) VANNtastic track? ) and I can never understand why at least one version didn't sell in the millions. Roger |
