I do not hear Cindy at all on Amen--??; Mary sounds really good on her solos--Amen and on another I forget at the moment(not Cant Take My Eyes tho love her duet there)--she almost steals it. Diana dynamite on Then--is that Paul with her?Love his passion tho his voice cracks(even more yearning). Im lovin this new cd. Anyone else into it? (Love that guitar on Funky Broadway-was hopin it was Grapevine. Bizzare medley on You Cant Hurry Love with Paul(?)briefly singing about going to the River?????????) |

Hey JimmyMack Cindy is there. She sounds sort of like Eddie Kendrixs. Cindy sings the verse that has says something about the seaside. I don't have the cd so I can't listen to it |

Luke.........Cindy sings the verse after Mary. Cindy's verse starts out "Sing it in the Temple...." |

It is Dennis who sings 'go down to the river" etc. Here are the singers in order of performance on "Amen". Diana, Eddie, Mary, Paul, Cindy and Dennis. |

Thanks-I absolutely thought that was Eddie---sounds nothing like her typical voice. Why that river part on You Cant Hurry Love--makes no sense to me-?????????? |

I was listening to "Reach Out And Touch Somebody's Hand" by the Supremes and Four Tops. Cindy sounds real good. It seems to be the most lyrics in one song that I can recall her singing. |

I didn't like that Cindy lead all that well but I really enjoy Cindy on Sha La La Bandit and All I Want as SMC did it on the Sonny & Cher Show .Shawn ps I liked some of Cindy's solo material too ! |

Hello everyone, I finally listened to the entire CD set over the weekend and with the exception of the wierd medley by Diana and Company, this 2 cd set is an absolute joy. It never fails to amaze me how pleasent Dennis Edwards voice is when he sings softer and in a lower register. Eddie & Paul were in fine form and they mixed and matched with the Supremes very well. Glad they took out Otis's spoken intro to I'm gonna make you love me ( whew !) Wish they would have used the other Supremes a little more. But all in all this set brought back good memories of a time gone by. Interesting liner notes, not enough photos, but a good buy all the same. Kdubya |

Jimmy Mack, I don't know if you every got an answer to your ? about the song "Then". It is Diana and Paul. I think it's a great song that has never been given it's just due. I loved the lyrical interplay between Diana and Paul in that song: Diana: If MichaelAngelo could never paint, Paul: ... and if Jezebel was a saint, Diana & Paul: Then I guess I don't love you like I do! Smokey at his best!!!! |

You got it CK--thats exactly the part I love too. "Then" could have been a smash single. I also wish the other Supremes had more solos--especially cosidering how the Tempts did--a bit insulting to Cindy(who has lovely soprano voice that is so pure)- and to a lesser degree Mary(who at least gets one solo). |
