I understand that a DVD of Live Aid will be available in November. Patti LaBelle (AND the fabulous Sweeties) kicked major butt that day. I hope all of her songs are included, but that's unlikely. Can't wait to see Teddy and Ashford and Simpson also! Wasn't that Teddy's first public appearance after his accident?

The Four Tops were incredible at Live Aid!
I have that footage, but I look forward to the DVD.

Wow! Can't wait to see this!
BTW - Yes, Linda - it was Teddy's first live appearance since his car accident and it still remains as one of the concert's best moments.

I didn't even know the Tops were at Live Aid.

The UK show featured Paul Young and Alison Moyet singing the Motown song "That's The Way Love Is" which I note is also excluded.

Oh well....I guess I won't be buying it

The track listing sure brings it all back to me- the 80's were just one big musical abomination... in fact that crappy Zep footage would have been the icing on the cake... fluorescent coloured icing of course, in keeping with those times...

Heh...I have the whole thing on VHS. The only thing worse than Zep's set was Dick Clarke talking through "Stariway". Robert had a mullet then also.

The funniest is Madonna doing "Holiday" wearing that funky little catholic outfit. Nice set by Clapton, and the Who and Queen were quite good also.

After seeing the dvd lineup, I just realized that I spent a good portion of that day bored. It really didn't get exciting to me until the evening when Patti and Tina performed. I'm glad I still have my vhs tapes.
