Who exactly are in the group now? Isnt one deceased? Is another ill? Does CLuadette ever tour with them? I saw a pic of them and the Velvelettes(all 4 originals!)performing in England and only one original Miracle I believe. |

Bobby Rogers is the only original. Sometimes Claudette does appear with them. They other guys are...there's a real good looking guy named Sydney and another nice guy named David, but that's all I know. Ronnie White did pass away several yrs. ago. His widow, Gloria Hall-White, lives here in Florida, a few miles from me. |

Lead Singer Sydney Justin used to be a football pro, but had always wanted to sing like Smokey. Due to an injury Sydney had to give up his football career for a singing career. I saw them live at the Rock Hall with Claudette & Bobby, they did a really good show. S.S. |

Has everyone forgotten about Warren "Pete" Moore? He's still around. |

Yes, Pete Moore is still around, but has some businesses (not entertainment) and does not gig with the group. Sydney is great and I think his wife is also a singer. |

That was Billy Griffin. He had an amazing voice as well. Not the same as Smokey, but right up there with most of the great falsetto leads! |

Thank you Jimmy Mack for reminding us all about the Velvelettes being all originals. |

On saying that John - I feel that there is no better time to exploit, if that is the right word, their longevity. So, roll on Hemsby at the end of October! I would love a chance to meet them and thank them for their inspiration. |

I wish they would do right, and put the Miracles in the Rock and Roll hall of frame. They definately deserve to be there, far and above some others who are there. |

Yeah Tony, why didn't Smokey insist on going in the Hall of Fame with the Miracles? Is it because of his laid back personality, because Martha Reeves insisted that all the Vandellas from the early to mid sixties be included in the Hall; I believe she would have burned the place down if it didn't happen! |

I do understand that Smokey SHOULD BE in the Hall solo(because of the massive impact as a writer & producer) BUT as a recording artist it should be with The Miracles. I have never heard of any rift between Smokey & the group. |

I think that Smokey should have been insistent in the Miracles coming along with him in the Hall of Fame. As far as I know, he loves and supports the new Miracles, and they did sing together at a function in Calif. honoring Berry Gordy. I'm curious; was the original nomination for just Smokey, or was it for the Miracles and then it morphed into just Smokey? Anyway, there is no excuse for the Miracles not being in the hall of fame. |
