This morning as I had the music playing and I was cleaning (made sure blinds were closed this time), I thought about re-makes for certain songs. In my opinion, some do not deserve a re-make as they are classic as is (My Girl tops my list) but I would like to hear some others...

Johnny Gill do some old gritty, knock your socks off, shivers up your spine Gospel.

Ben Harper do more David Ruffin like what he did to "Ain't to Proud to Beg" on Standing in the Shadows of Motown.

Patti Labelle do some Staples Singers.

...and I thought it might be nice to hear Marvin Gaye sing some Sam Cooke. I guess that only happens in Heaven.

How about you?
