Just curious... they were playing in Pontiac when I was in Detroit a few weeks ago, they're in Montreal tonight and Toronto on Monday where I want to catch them after my show. So I'm assuming they're playing across the north east these days? Is Larry Blackmon with them? Anyone hear anything good or not so good about Cameo '04 style? |

Yes Larry is with them and the show is as good as ever. They were at a festival in Bern (Switzerland) just three weeks ago and they tore the roof... DO NOT MISS THEM!!!! Wonder B |

Thanks WonderB. That certainly takes the edge off having to go to work so early on a Saturday! |

Man, Cameo is the 'ish' They need to coem home to NYC and hit us off with a little of 'Shake Your Pants'. Cameo and Lakeside, Dazz Band were my last hope for real funk in the 2oth Century. |

Well, I went to the show after my own show last night (around 11pm)- and the club was closed!! I should have been more suspicious all along I guess, but some local promoters like putting on shows without telling a lot of people, plus Cameo were written up in the Montreal Mirror (I think there was an interview there too, at Montrealmirror.com (this week's), so I wasn't completely out to lunch even though I feel dumb having mentioned the show a couple of times on the radio... ho hum, off to work. |
