Just a reminder 2 all at SoulfulDetroit.com that yesterday was B.B. King's 79th birthday. Born in Indianola, Mississippi on September 16, 1925, Riley B. King, better known as B.B. King, became the world's better known ambassador to the blues, coming out of an era that gave us Robert Johnson, Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters to name a few, and helped introduced the world to the sound that gave birth to Rock N'Roll and other musical genres as well. I wish Mr. King a very happy and blessed 79th b'day, and may he continue to inspire a new generation of blues musicans and fans for years to come.

B.B. King has been a Grandfather to "my kids" and to me as well. He has met "my kids" twice a year for fifteen years and he has given advice but also offered to pay for college tuition. He is such a nice man!!!

Mr. King always gives me a compliment every time he meets with "my kids"; I feel mighty humbled when he says nice things about me as well.

Happy Birthday My Friend and should you read this - God Bless!!
