I agree with some opinions here. I caught EW&F 1 or 2 ago when all original members from the 70's lineup was at The Holiday Star Plaza in Merriville Indiana. More than anything I would like to see WAR, I'm not caring to see anyone else but WAR-- straight up!! Don |

WAR was bad in the '70s and '80s. I forget about who's gone--oddly enough when I saw this thread, I immediately thought of a configuration of the Tempts, Ali, Melvin--lord... Well, I'd like to see Prince and the Revolution reunite. Always loved Prince but I loved, loved the Revolution--Lisa, Wendy. Wouldn't mind seeing that "Tower of Power" to "Urban Renewal" TOP get back together again either... |

Hello again, soulful friends! Hey, Charise, the last thing I knows about Sharon Bryant it's his collaboration with Cynthia Biggs (Cynthia got a web-site were explains his diverse musical projects and history as songwriter). I will likes some reunions previously mentioned by some of you as Trammps with super-gospel voice Jimmy Elis, War (with harmonica "maestro" Lee Oskar). Also: O'Jays with Sam Strain, Bobby Massey and Bill Isles Blackbyrds with Kevin Toney and Donald Byrd as band leader People's Choice with the four original line-up in their first TSOP records (Frank Brunson, David Thompson, Guy Fiske and Roger Andrews with solo sax by Sam Peak!) Another incarnation of MFSB with a rythm section consisting in Bobby Eli and TJ Tindall guitars, Anthony Jackson bass, Quinton Joseph drums, Vincent Montana vibes, Manny Oquendo congas & bongos, Bunny Sigler, Dexter Wansel or Thom Bell keyboards, and strings and horns, of course, Larry Gold cello, Jack Faith flute, Michael Pedicin sax, Wayne Henderson trombone and John Usry flugelhorn. Wayne Henderson should to combine MFSB and Crusaders, because i also likes the reunion of original Crusaders, Felder, Hooper, Sample, Henderson and Carlton (the best jazz-funk-rock band of the 70's, their "Chain Reaction" LP is for me a treasure!) Peace & Soul Food! |

My dream wish is to see all of the Supremes together, but I guess that's asking for alot. Juice...I agree...Five Heartbeats! Peaches and Herb...but I think with the 70s Peaches...the one that sang REUNITED with him. I got my wish when I saw Tony Orlando and Dawn together on PBS recently. The orignal 5th Dimension. I saw the "now" 5th Dimension on PBS and to me, although good, it is not the same...only Flo and the tall light skinned guy are in the group still. Jones Girls...are they still singing? The group that did I GOT MY MIND MADE UP. LaBelle...that would be a treat for me. DeBarge I also wanted to see the original Stone City Band together also...I hope since Rick's passing we could see that! Also, the Mary Jane Girls (both incarnations). More later... |

Everybody that broke up, and made good music need to hit the studios again...especially "THE COMMODORES"... ...and quite frankly a little O-H-I-O Players would not hurt either. After looking at John Lennon's Juke Box last night I think there ought to be a rally for Rare Classic Soul artists to reunite and give a performance... |

Barbara Weathers is a good singer too. But I liked Sharon's deep vocals. They were subtle yet powerful and just plain beautiful. I felt that girl. Too bad she didn't stay with the group. I know she had one solo effort. I bought the cassette but the material was not the best. I think the only song I liked was her remake of foolish heart. But the material was not very soulful and it didn't suit her style at all, imo. |

SoulSeeker: Jade was originally being groomed by Phillip Ingram when they were led elsewhere by the promise of wealth & stardom. Their success was short lived...and they have since contacted him...apologizing for what happened. Don: Morris Day still performs with (a version of) The Time that has other original members. Jimmy & Terry come out & jam with them from time to time (no oun intended)....and the only guy who seems to have closed the door on any reunion is Jessie Johnson...who seems to be afraid of letting people hear anything new and is "content" doing tracks for rappers & others. Gary: Just think...1 tour with "Niecy"...Pockets...The Emotions...Ramsey Lewis...and THEN 2+ solid hours of The Elements ??? There has never been as brilliant a stage show combined with consistantly stellar music !! Of my Top Ten live performances ever witnessed...E,W,& F are the top 5...with Parliament/Funkadelic, Heatwave, and AWB (from sheer energy alone) holding down the 2nd 5 spots. |

It would be great to see Brass Construction & Slave With Steve Arrington, Curt Thomas & Starlena Young together again! Last but not least, I'd love to see Al Hudson & One Way together again. Everett, I saw DeBarge on that show as well. And, no, they shouldn't reunite. My man just couldn't hit those high notes anymore & while I was glad to see them out there again, the results were disasterous. He should have dropped his key & forgotten about trying to hit those high notes. I know that he had had some bad times & I was happy to see him get some spotlight....until I heard him sing. I was truly embarassed for him & extremely saddened. Then I got mad! Some things just shouldn't be revisited & if they are, common sense must dictate. If you can no longer soar through the air & reverse dunk, one should be wise enough to settle for taking jumpers!!! Two points are two points. It beats an air ball!! |

(William and Wilbur needs to get off that stubborn BS mentality and grow up. Blood is thicker than water ! ) Return to Forever: Chick,Al,Lenny and Stanley (ENOUGH SAID!!!!) |

Manny...Thanks for the info! All surviving members of the Tempts is a great idea...I just hope that it doesn't end up like the 1982 reunion. Yes...definitely the TIME! I wouldn't mind seeing Smokey sing with the Miracles again! |

When I saw Patti in concert last month, she mentioned that she, Nona, and Sarah would be reuniting for a tour next year. I hope it comes off. They've been talking about this reunion since 2000. I saw Sarah on a cane at the Girl Groups Stamps ceremony a couple of years ago, but I didn't think there was anything seriously wrong. At one point, she was dancing with the cane, so I figured maybe she had hurt her foot or something. But I don't know any details. |

Hello Submarine to all! Hey, GeeTee Hpk, I also wish "the return of the return". Return To Forever with those members you mentioned and also featuring Airto and Flora Purim. They were the best combo in the fusion of jazz, rock, classical,... The album by the same title is one of my all-time favorites: "La Fiesta", "Return To Forever" and the melancoly of "Cristal Silence". The last i find (some years ago) by Chick Corea was "Change", with Origin and is not the same spirit of the fist 70's. Peace & Soul food! |

Dyvanaye would be out front....Juice, Gary. and I would do all the mad steps and harmony....all we need now is a manager and PR person......lets see maybe Wonder B and Soulsister.....I feel a Grammy coming on.........methinks that I may have to separate you and GEETEE..........have a great day. |

Hello all, The reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated!! Yes, I'm still on the scene with a gangster lean...ooo..ooo.oooooo. Thanks for the shout out Don, Kdub & Destruction. I was trying to keep our illustrious career on the hush hush, but hey, it's our time! No more chitlin' circuit for us. No more cheap Lee Press On Nails for the girls. No more wearing payless shoes & stage uniforms purchased from Target & Kmart. No, not for us. Now the girls can afford nothing but the best weaves & wigs & us fellas can afford the best afro wigs that money can buy! Yes, I can finally have that giant Michael Jackson/Foster Sylvers afro that I dreamed of having since I was 10. Yes, it's time for us to get Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money!!! The only problem is that we're having the damnedest time getting some good material. So, where's Duck Matthews when we need him??? By the way, I have to tell y'all that I've lost about an octave & a half of my range! Too many Pepsis you know! Since I now sound like a croaking frog, just hook a brother up with a dummy mike & I'll lip synch like a mutha!!! I'll have to see if we can get Bobby E to produce. Now, where are all of our lovely female fans? With my luck they won't be throwing undies, they'll be throwing bricks!!! Oh well, looks like we're on the road again |

Ok Juice and Gary its a wrap, just got off the phone with BG, he says he wants us to sign but he's got a problem with a certain Diva....it appears he wants her to front all the songs and he has told me on the down low that he's already bought her a couple of outfits and a fish sandwich and shes got a thing for "kabongs". GEETEE has my back so we ease up on them while they snacking on some Mickey D fish sammiches, I pop BG in the head and GEETEE whisks our diva off her feet and places her in the back of our yellow ford truck where we take her to Bootlegs Anonymous for deprogramming. All the time shes screaming...it's my group, I'm the star, bring me my eyelashes.......Oh God man this is bad...I'll keep ya'll posted....and like you said Juice Mo Money, Mo Money..... Kdubya |

Sorry but, Kool and the Gang with out JT would be lovely for me. I think he was the WORST thing that happened to that group... Teddy and Sharon with the Bluenotes YES GOD...Ted Mills with Blue majic... Hallelujah to Russell Thompkins with the Stylistics...(yeah yeah, I know...) The Moments The Whatnauts (where are they?!) and if the Delphonics could just get it together... A REAL JACKSON 5 REUNION...but there would be alot of surgery involved with this one... MFSB ALL-STAR REUNION FANIA ALL STARS REUNION, doing '"DESAFIO" SALSOUL ORCHESTRA Ok, I can see the above three intertwining.... LOVE UNLIMITED, sigh...Barry... and the women...GLODEAN, et al... I d like to see a reunion of soul artists from the chitlin circuit...STAX, ATLANTIC, etc...who ever is still around and kicking... An all star doo-wop show like Dick Clark used to do... sigh... |

Nah Don, I'm placing you in charge of the business. Your experience would help us out a great deal. You got some inside info & experience that we need. You can watch the money & our dance steps. Hey, gotta trust someone in this business. We're comfortable with you watching our backs. Now if I could only find that octave & a half that I lost over the years |

Juice I'm with you, Dons the man. But we have a slight problem with our Defacto Lead Singer the Diva, appears that she escaped Bootlegs anonymous after boppin the Head Shrink over the head with some whopper sized mallet device. He's on his way to surgery and the Diva is at large. She was last seen heading east in a 1970 Ragtop deuce and a quarter, according to police reports she had on a Diana size afro wig, Bootzilla glasses, leather pants and a pink halter top and was mumbling something about getting me Juice and Gary before we get her while discarding fish sammich wrappers along the interstate. BG bailed on us because he was afraid that she would go to the newspapers.....looks like we gonna need a new lead singer......dam.....just in ......The Diva has been booked on next weeks Oprah !!!!.....something about getting a new deuce and a quarter for the rights to our story.........that Dam Oprah....Don, dont worry I got the steps down cold but the Diva is known as a leg breaker....GeeTee and I are gonna lay low for a while.....Juice you better head for the hills........ |
