My buddy Matty Lee just told me to let everyone over here to know that Gino Washington will be appearing at the New Dodge Lounge in Hamtramck this Saturday. Cover charge is $7. |

yes Morgan this is the Gino Washington that recorded "whirlpool" along with "Gino's A Coward", "Out Of This World","Oh No Not Me" and at least a couple dozen mostly local Detroit releases. only the first two I have mentioned here were hits in some areas outside Detroit, I know Gino quite well and put together 2 CD compilations for him, he has prenty of talent but I have even told him that his mistake was trying to manage himself |

I remember Gino's A Coward. I have to admit though, I was maybe 10 or 11 when Whirlpool came out and I thought the song was more funny than anything else. Especially the routine he and his dancers had for the song. LOL! I saw him perform on "The Scene". Glad to hear he's still around and performing. |
