yes Morgan this is the Gino Washington that recorded "whirlpool" along with "Gino's A Coward", "Out Of This World","Oh No Not Me" and at least a couple dozen mostly local Detroit releases. only the first two I have mentioned here were hits in some areas outside Detroit, I know Gino quite well and put together 2 CD compilations for him, he has prenty of talent but I have even told him that his mistake was trying to manage himself |

I remember Gino's A Coward.
I have to admit though, I was maybe 10 or 11 when Whirlpool came out and I thought the song was more funny than anything else. Especially the routine he and his dancers had for the song. LOL!
I saw him perform on "The Scene". Glad to hear he's still around and performing. |
