I have just bought this DVD and to me, my favorite has got to be the STANDING ON THE TOP Video. To me, although the video looks like it was made on a TIGHT budget, the memorable performances by David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks did it for me as I have never seen them perform except for the 60s footage! David seemed to sing effortlessly, like he didn't have to breathe or something! Eddie was the essesce of cool, Dennis as usual taking it to church, and Richard's punches with his parts (BTW, I know it was 1982, but what was up with his hair? )...even though I kind of expected more from this DVD considering that The Tempts are LEGENDS, it is still worth having, if not for that REUNION. Track Listing: 1. Stay 2. I'm Here 3. Standing on the Top (featuring Rick as I remember him!) 4. Time After Time 5. I Wonder Who She's Seeing Now (featuring cameos by Billy Dee Williams and Fred "Rerun" Berry) |

Lady M, That tour was the only time I ever saw the temptations live. From what I've read about that period I consider myself fortunate to have been at one of the shows where everybody showed up. Despite their internal problems, they put on an unbelievable show. If you'd like I'll try to post some pictures from their Cincinnati show here. |

Lady M you're right I wrote about this DVD about a month ago. They were smooth as silk and you could tell they were having fun. I was saddened that the company did'nt release more about the Reunion Tour, I was at their appearence here in Chicago during their tour and they were flat out fantastic. I cannot believe that there is no(live)recorded version of this historic event. Plus the Tempts have got to have more videos than these five. Now for the coup de grais or whatever, can anyone explain (if memory serves) why Ali Woodson was the only Temptation in the video "Soul 2 Soul ? Kdubya |

The videos I know of the Tempts are: STANDING ON THE TOP TREAT HER LIKE A LADY A FINE MESS SOUL TO SOUL I WONDER WHO'S SHE'S SEEING NOW ALL I WANT FROM YOU and the others listed above. Kdubya, the version of SOUL TO SOUL that I saw had all five Tempts in it. |

I forgot there was another video made off the Phoenix Rising CD-"How could he hurt you". I do believe there were some other videos they made between 1977-1994, I just can't remember them all. Are there any videos made by David, Dennis, Eddie, Ali, and Theo from their solo hits. And why are there only 4 Temptations in the Time After Time video? |

Wish I could answer your question, but I remember seeing a version of Soul 2 Soul with Ali Woodson, standing on deserted wind blown streets singing his a** off........maybe I'm wrong ....The Four Tempts in "Time after Time" was probably before Terry Weeks was an offical member,I think it was Theo,Otis, Ron & Harry......heck I got the video but I'm at work.... You're rigth Kdub. Terry Weeks was in the short-lived group, "For Lovers Only" on Motown records. The 3 guys did the remake of Roberta & Donny's "The Closer I Get To You". I have this cd. Handsome |

Bee Soul: Dennis had a video for DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER and I think, YOU'RE MY APHRODISIAC. And I remember David and Eddie having a concert video along with Hall And Oates of THE WAY YOU DO THE THINGS YOU DO and MY GIRL. Kdubya: Maybe Ali recorded SOUL 2 SOUL as a solo artist as well. The video I saw had the Tempts singing in front of photos of various civil rights leaders. (Message edited by Reese on September 08, 2004) |

Well None of Ali's songs are on the DVD. Treat her like a lady or soul to soul should have been included. Standing on the Top is worth the price of this DVD though. Its really a treasure considering Rick has just passed away. |

On the Motown message board, Harry W. wrote that TREAT HER LIKE A LADY couldn't be included because they don't own the rights to it. Apparently, that video was really just an appearance on a UK television show. |

Oh I miss them all too. Paul passed away when I was young. I forgot to mention Melvin. I guess I miss David and Eddie more because their voices are the ones I hear the most no matter how long they were out of the Tempts. |
