Just when I thought all the birythday hoopla settled down I received a beautiful food basket from two of my all time favorite women, Milllie ( Millivanilli ) Bostic and Marge ( Margie ) Shwartz. I must say my 60th has to be one of my most memorable and pleasant. Thank you all once again for your good wishes.
Ralph

Hey Ralphie Boy,

Didn't want you to forget all the wonderful things about living in Detroit...Vernors/Faygo, Sanders Hot Fudge, Better Made Chips etc.,etc. But the most important things made in Detroit are us! Always thinking about you.

Millie,
I was just coming on line to post this. After opening the basket I discovered it chock full of Detroit made products. These girls sure know how to get a guy homesick. Sure is appropriate though. Thank you once again ladies. I certainly will enjoy this. Are you trying to tell me something???
love,
Ralph

Wow Ralph! Looks like the calorie count has just gone through the roof! I think the hot fudge has caught my eye though.

Carl,
Sanders hot fudge is legendary. Anyone who grew up in Detroit can tell you about Sanders bakeries. The places had a distict, wonderful aroma of coffee and baked goods that was exclusively Sanders. In keeping with the spirit of the forum, the building next to the Motown building was the old main Sanders building.

I can certainly appreciate that Ralph. I yearn for food items from my hometown too. As yet, nothing has been delivered to me - probably because my favourite ice cream would need special attention to travel the 220 miles. Also in keeping with the spirit of the forum, if I visit Detroit next May, I will no doubt indulge in a gallon or two of the hot fudge. Can you recommend a good dentist in the city?

Carl,
I think I read a misprint in your above meassage. You said "if you visit Detroit next May". Didn't you mean WHEN you visit Detroit next May. I promise you we will find you a good dentist.
