one good thing (the only good thing) about the forum going down is it gives you time to contemplate on what has gone before.
of course i have never taken ralph, clay, jack, mike, russ, babbit and many others for granted, but it was good to recall that they posted on the forum on more than a few occasions. a dream come true for us all.
anyway i thought it would be good to re-open the forum with a picture of two more of our new found friends, bobby and weldon. weldon's text is at the foot of the page. true pioneers of the music we love.

Great pic indeed - what a handsome pair of Brothers.
Bobby - looks like you had the devil in you even way back then (or at least on your shirt!)

David,
Thanks for posting the pic of Bobby and Weldon, 2 of my favorite people. The date of the pic is not the 60's, Bobby was not old enough to have facial hair, he didn't even have peach fuzz(smile. I have the same pic and know it was taken in 1975 or 1976. It was taken during the Rhythm sessions for the Jermaine Jackson album that Norman Harris produced for Motown. Jermaine had his lovely new bride Hazel(daughter of Berry Gordy)with him at the studio.

Vonnie is right it was the mid 70s,it is so hard
for me to remember the years that I have done what
but one thing I do know, that Bobby and I have been friends for a long, long, long, time.

My gawd!!!!!!!!!!! I have been very fortunate to hear that Jermaine Jackson Philly recorded album and it is as good as any of those Eddie Kendricks albums. I am telling you guys from the heart...that Jermaine Jackson album is HOT HOT HOT....hard though it may be for me to say this but it beats ANYTHING that Jermaine actually issued....sorry folks Jermaine's "Daddy's Home" is not one of my favorite songs.
I can't believe I haven't brought this up before.
Bobby and Weldon...I am off for a few days....so give those brain cells a tug and be ready for me when I get back.
You have GOT to help me to get this album issued...can you have a word with YOU KNOW WHO please!
This snippet of information has just knocked me sideways.........WOWEE!

I was getting ready to go and join the f**n Taliban!! Where the f**k did I get that hat?? The devil shirt??My name should have been Ali instead of Eli, although translated it means the same thing.Weldon was, and still is my big brother and mentor. I must find the pic of me and Jermaine that Weldon took that day.
We did an entire album with him. It may have not been released in the UK.
I will dig it out and check it out.
Don't be surprised if Mr Gordy shows up on the forum.
NUFF SAID.
