Does anyone else remember these two blonde, dynamic women who played Detroit a lot during the 50s and 60s? Bunny Paul had a few hit records like: "What A Night it Was- It Really Was" that were covered by Kay Starr or better known popular singers. For her day she was "HOT!"

Lillian Briggs sang and PLAYED THE TROMBONE - "I Want You To Be My Baby," etc. She was very energetic (sort of Betty Hutton-like)and gave one hell of a show.

Sound familiar to anyone out there? I wonder what ever happened to them - probably long retired.

John,
I'm not sure how I remember her. I just know I remember the name. I don't think she was any relation to Clarence Paul though.

Yes,I remember Bunny very well. She's still alive today. Funny thing was, back when she was having her hits, she was married to her record promotion man,Sol Starr. By the way,he's still alive to,at lats time I knew. I've seen him several times in recent years.
I'm Fury's partner 0on that book project.

Hmmm Bunny Paul - I've wondered about her but
could never find any info.

Is the singer on Gordy the same as the one who had many releases in the 50's on Essex, Brunswick,
Roulette and doubtless others ?

Is she related to Clarence Paul ?

Is she Barbara Paul who had a single on Ollie
McLaughlin's Karen label ?

I'll see what info. I can dig out and post it
in a few days.

Lillian Briggs - "I Want You To Be My Baby" - I've
always wanted to hear that - I really liked Ellie
Greenwich's version. I could be wrong - probably
am - but I always got the impression that the
other blonde bombshell JoAnn Campbell got a lot
of her style from Lillian Briggs.
