just going through some notes from my last visit.

ron murphy had a newspaper cutting of the death of shorty long.

both shorty and oscar williams drowned off shore of sandwich island, in the detroit river 7 miles south of windsor, on 29th june 1969.

apparently their boat capsized as a result of waves coming off a large freighter.

gone but not forgotten.

Too bloody right as well....notwithstanding the fact that he did so called "novelty" records.......when I was a mere slip of a boy, I rated Shorty only marginally below Levi Stubbs...and on some days, he was my favourite.
