I am not sure what you want me to say about it...did you win the Motown mini then? Do you recall that competition form inside the album...hahahaha
I loved that album..needless to say Hank Cosby's "Love Is My Destination" got overlooked
Two tracks were recorded in Italian...However for "Oh How Happy", they used the "duet with Blinky" band track. Ooops. Soul Master (tra la la.....he's the guy that they named soul after)...was cut in Italian too. Great picture sleeve of Edwin with this Great Dane. I got Edwin to sign it for me when he was doing a gig at the Barbican with the Tornados.
What a great album that was....."Time Is Passing By" was a great song I thought but you guys all went for the version on the Monitors.
Harry ought to do a deluxe edition of that album for the Northern Soul market. Maybe you might all like to tell him that as well.
By the way, I found a mono master for "My Weakness Is You" during one of my "what have we got here" days in the vault...I was so pleased to find it.

thanks. you've done it justice. do these notes tell you anything about the recording location.
was it definitely recorded in studio A?
one thing i noticed about some of these albums though, the 45 is sometimes stronger than the album track. or am i imagining things. i think 'my weakness is you' was one such track.
i used to love hearing 'i am the man...' on radio luxembourg. never hear anyone talking about that record

Without reference to the studio log books, that is a bit of a tall order...but using my ears
YES- studio A
the 45 is ALWAYS stronger......just ask the producers and engineers who worked their butts off to produce a stronger mix ....what ya say Ralph!
Who did the 45 mix of "It Takes All Kinds Of People" Ralph?...you know that is one of my all time favourites
