For those of us who have a real mental love affair with Sidney Poitier and his movies, ther will be an run of ALL of his movies on BET this weekend, starting Sunday I believe. Check your local listing and run to KMART, WALMART, TARGET, PUBLIX, WALGREENS or where ever and load up on your blank tapes and dvd's. Or you Tivo junkies set your timers!

If there is going to be a Sidney Poitier weekend does Buck & The Preacher, Uptown Saturday Night and Let's Do It Again count?

Don, I have Buck & The Preacher on vhs. I love that movie, especially the music. Who can forget the title song, sung by New Birth!!!:-):-):-)
Poitier and Belafonte have a great chemistry together as well as Poitier and Cosby, but the three of them in Uptown Saturday Night was just HILARIOUS!!!!
P.S. remember Ray Parker Jr's cameo in the band on this one??:-):-):-)

Hmm, it would be good to see them all in something new right now! Comedy/Drama, it doesn't matter just to see them together again:-):-)

Charise, When Raydio first lp came out and when I went to see the film later, then I reconised it was Ray. It's been a while since I seen Uptown I thought I seen Jerry Knight, you know, Raydio's original bass player.
