Hi S.S. I think that the ultimate of all time is "Don't Get Hooked On Me" by Mac Davis. Ol' Mac was quite the rolling stone. With lines like "I'll only use you & then set you free", Mac sure let the ladies know that they shouldn't expect to receive any Christmas presents, you know. I mean, the man had no shame. How about the classic "I Wish That You Were Mine" by The Manhattans? Cheating never sounded so sweet! I always want to put it on my slow mix CDs. However, the lyrics just don't seem to fit the mood. Most ladies don't like to hear songs about cheating with them or on them. It's one hell of a song though. | ||

My next choice would be the sublime "I Love You Secretly" by The Miracles from their "Renaissance" LP. Mr. Billy Griffin & The Miracles make longing for a forbidden love sound so damn tempting. This folks is simply one beautiful song & should have been released as a single & been a major hit. This song is great!!! Then there's "Friends By Day" (Lovers By Night) by The Whatnauts. Another sweet Soul ballad with serious implications. Another great song!!! | ||
