Hello, Everyone, My name is Marilyn & I am new to the forum...I love music, especially soul, because it is wonderful & I grew up loving it... Some of My Favorite Female Singers include: Tammi Terrell, Barbara Mason, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin,Gladys Knight, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Joss Stone, Toni Braxton, & Mariah Carey Male Singers: Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Teddy Pendergrass, BB King,ZZ Hill, Johnnie Taylor, Barry White, Donny Hathaway, & Stevie Wonder Girl Groups: The Marvelettes (all time favorite!) & The Supremes Male Groups: The Intruders, The Temptations, The Four Tops, & Smokey Robinson & The Miracles My new favorite is Miss Sugar Pie DeSanto...While my mom has the record, "Soulful Dress/Use What You Got", I had never heard her voice before...It is amazing!...I especially love her "Slip In Mules"...I have the Chess Divas CD, which includes these...Another new favorite would have to be Fontella Bass (also on the CD)...While I've always loved her song, "Rescue Me," I really like "Recovery." I look forward to "talking" to all of you & learning as much as I can about my favorite artists, & more... TTYL Marilyn  | ||

Dyva, Moe is doing a two week stint at a hospital in Columbus Ohio. She's been on a pretty tough OR schedule but I'm sure she will post when she finds time. At the end of her two weeks in Columbus she's flying back to Monterey to spend a few days with me. I'll be taking her to see the Funks who will be appearing in the near-by San Jose area. | ||
