After feeding us 2 years & 11 months of non-specific terror alerts, those good folks that brought us the Iraqui War SUDDENLY have SPECIFIC information!!! What a surprise!!! All of a sudden, we now know exactly what is being targeted & to show you how much MY people in particular have overcome, there are also targets in the hood of Newark, New Jersey. An area where even the rats are afraid. So we're movin' on up indeed! Now, is it just my silly old skeptical nature, or does anyone else find the timing of these announcements to be a bit circumspect?? I find the timing to be a well timed salvo to save certain folks their jobs come November. This reminds me of what occurred here in New York during the elections following 911. After Mr Giuliani was defeated in his Mayoral bid, there was a movement to keep him on as Mayor, in order to work through the myriad of problems that naturally occurred following 911. When that was resoundly defeated, there was talk of him heading a special commission. Everyone talked about this man as though he was the second coming, when all that he did was what he was supposed to do......HIS JOB!!! What was he supposed to do, run away??? He did what THEY (NOT I) elected him to do....HIS JOB!!! You would've thought that he fought The Battle Of The Bulge singlehandedly. The only compliment that I have for him is that he remained calm, which again was...HIS JOB!!! I am so sick of what I feel is outright manipulation of all of us, playing on our fears. Does anyone really believe that after 2 years & 11 months of "non-specific" heightened alerts, that said absolutely NOTHING, suddenly, the gang that couldn't shoot straight discovered this??? This is simply despicable behavior & I find the timing & specificity of the alert to be somewhat suspicious. If they keep this "TERROR ALERT" stuff going on, we will never have another Presidential Election. ...and I know Mr. Bush would hate to have that happen...he wouldn't want to stay in office with all the alarming Terrorist Alerts going on...He may get used to it, then the whole nation will start getting used to it, then what ? This nation will be controlled by "TERRORIST" Alerts... Presidential Elections may become obsolete.(LOL,LMAO) Then we'll have no leader, then what will we do?
