I am under severe pressure from Ralph and Lowell to apologise for my antics with the Malacatraz thread. Not only am I apologising but I am guaranteeing my exclusion from Moderating and it's associated functions. This apology extends in particular to JuiceFree20, FunkyOne and Vonnie. I'm sorry if I have missed anyone else. I have asked Ralph to reinstate former forumers at his behest as I have already rescinded the password. Sorry David |

I commend you on your great step forward David. It is a shame that it took being under duress to make it.I too am sorry for the damage I caused. Perhaps we should all apologise to the rest of the forum members for having to go through this unplesantness with us. I like everyone else loves this forum and have demonstrated I am willing to do whatever it takes to make it a better, happier place. If one of the moderators(Lowell or Ralph) could copy this thread onto all three sections of the forum as I think everyone should have a chance to see what a stand up guy David is by apologising. Thank you David I accept what you have apologised for and hope you will do the same in turn. your friend, D.J. $ BILL |

DAVID!!! GOOD MAN!! Thank you. I sincerely I thank you! Now we can all put this foolishness behind us. It takes a very big person to do what you've just done & I know that it wasn't easy, trust me I too have been there. For that, I give you kudos. You have definitely elevated your stature to all of us here & I know that I speak for many when I say thank you. Believe me, we know that you're really a good person. We all got a little carried away here. Let's move on positively!!! THREE CHEERS FOR DAVID!!!! CAN I GET AN AMEN OVER HERE!!! Dollar, I didn't see your post, but I'll second your motion. As the whole forum had to suffer through this, I agree that it should appear in all corners of the forum. David's done something very special here & everyone should know that he has. Davids' made me feel proud!!! |

In David's brief bio, he uses the phrase, "it's a measure of the man ..." in referring to Lowell's willingness to take on the web design project. May I use the same phrase to say, "it's a measure of the man, David, to be mending fences, given that he started the site, and certainly didn't have to apologize to anyone as the owner! Now if I only had the guts to do the same with my estranged family. You are an inspiration, David. Peace, Bob F. |

Juice, Speaking of "props," I'm glad to see that you're not leaving. Familiarizing myself with previous posts, I found that hilarious series you did on a sort of pseudo "In Living Color" ebonics. You have a great sense of humor, my man! Bob |

Geeez David, It's so good to see you here. I know I have always said we are like some big family, and it really is true. At times we tend to be somewhat disfunctional, but we have quite a large family here. As someone so eloquently put.."Shit Happens " . Big deal. David, you and Lowell put this thing together and you created a winner. Don't let us Chuckleheads get the best of you. You are Soulful Detroit David. There is no way you couldn't be. |

Bob F and Ralph, I think betwixt the comments from da both of you, you'll also find my sentiments...especially the "measure of a man" snippet from Bob. David, All's well. ....as for me. To commemorate this great day of walking the talk in SDF history, I'm gonna get up off my a$$ and order a copy of "The Train to Soulville". It's the least I can do. |

I also failed to apologise to DyvaNaye whom I most definately had words with during the fracas. DyvaNaye reckons she has been suspended and is probably unable to post right now. I have told her she has never been suspended and this will be confirmed by Ralph. I do apologise DyvaNaye, for what has gone before, and hopefully Ralph or Lowell will get you back on here asap. David, You are proving yourself to be a mensch!! My Jewish friends call all good men by that name. You warm my heart with your words & I know that you only want what we all want....the great forum that is known as Soulful Detroit to thrive. David, you are proving that indeed you are a big man. Again, I say to you that you are indeed increasing in stature & are proving yourself to be a most excellent leader. When I first walked through these doors, I found a site that was different than all of the others. You have provided us with something that is unique & better than the other sites & you deserve the credit for that. I know that sometimes I get carried away & even a bit silly here. It's just that this place is filled with such great fun people that it really does feel like family. It's only natural that you would want to protect your baby called Soulful Detroit. Who wouldn't? If anyone is to blame, it is you for creating a site that has introduced me to many new friends, many who may last me for a lifetime. For providing a place where people have made new friends & re-acquainted with old ones. For that, I must be grateful to you. If not for Soulful Detroit, I would never have met these fine people. I found a home away from home here at Soulful Detroit & if I write too much or get carried away here, it's only because I do love this place. I first came here when my mom got sick & it helped me fill many a long night. It helped me to smile, laugh & learn. As such, I thank you for the opportunity to visit your home. I never understood how people could get hooked on chatting over a computer. It just seemed crazy to me. Then I came here & now I understand perfectly. Some places simply feel like home & that's exactly what Soulful Detroit fells like.....home. In parting, I thank you for the blood, sweat & tears, as well as the vision to create a site such as this. I don't care what happened before, this place will always have a special place in my heart. I know that everyone else feels the same. Why else would we keep coming back here? It's like home & we owe that to you. Mr Mielke, thank you for allowing me to share time in your home. It's been well worthwhile & a wonderful experience! With all the respect due you! Juice |

Juice When Lowell spoke to me he also pointed out the many variables and perspectives that are running within the forum environment. This has been a 3 year learning curve for me and one that I have barely climbed on to. It is imperative that I make progress after this latest melee. Clearly it will to my advantage. many thanks David |
