For all of you who followed this thread, I wrote this ending for closure...................
this is for you Funky $Bill, Wonder B, Juice, and Dyva Nae.....................
Funky gets out of the wrecked car & tries to help Wonder B, who's bullet ridden. Facillitator Moe tells Funky to escape or he'll get caught, as she tends to Wonder B. Funky escapes & ends up on the Freeway, where he gets a ride with 2 Elvis Impersonators going to Las Vegas for a convention. The 2 impersonators realize Funky is on the lam, so they give him a red sequined jacket and a blonde wavy-haired wig to disguise himself. Funky is grateful for the disguise, but is soon sick of singing "hunka, hunka burning love." After getting to Las Vegas, he flees the car & starts walking, drawn to the strains of piano music, which brings him to the entrance of the Liberace Museum. Realizing with horror where he is, he goes to leave but a passing police car spooks him into the building. Because of the way he's dressed, the staff assumes he's the new curator of the Liberace Museum....Polonaise anyone?
As Wonder B falls for the last time, his bullet wounds profusely bleeding, he looks up. In the bright light he sees her-blonde hair falling to her shoulders. She bends over to help & his last thought echoes in his mind: "I didn't know angels wore black glasses." He awakens in a deserted section of an ICU, closed by budget cuts. He looks up & there she is..assistant Facillitator Moe, in her lab coat& black glasses. "I thought you worked at the prison" says Wonder B. "I did but you didn't know I was a doctor who had my license revoked for selling Viagra illegally on the Internet," she replied. "What happens now?" he asked. "Well Wonder B, you will heal. but the rest is up to you. I've had enough of prison life & I'm sure you have, too. I'm leaving for Europe. There's nothing for me here anymore. You are free. However, you are welcome to come with me...." The private jet takes off at daylight. Inside Wonder B & Facillitator Moe (now Dr. Moe) contemplate living in Provence vs Lake Como. Due to the illegal Viagra scheme, Moe is richer beyond words. And Wonder B begins to sing: "I've got sunshine on a cloudy day........."
Juice is in the back as the car crashes. He looks over the seat. Both Juice & Funky get out of the car to help bullet ridden Wonder B. Facillitator Moe tells them both to escape. Funky escapes, but Juice is paralyzed with care & concern for Wonder B. This leaves just enough time for Warden DyvaNae to come in for the attack & she captures Juice, as she gives him a most wicked Kabongging upside his head. As she does this, she comments that the mayor has closed Mallettcatraz due to budget cuts. Poor, bewildered DyvaNae!! She feels the only way to rehabilitate Juice, her most consistent inmate, is to marry him so that she could continually be a part of his rehab. Juice has no choice & is dragged away while DyvaNae is yelling at him nonstop & all poor Juice can do is mutter "yes dear....." However, Juice is able to give 1 last wink & smile over his shoulder to Facillitator Moe for his good fortune. After all things DO have a way of working out right!! Juice pinches DyvaNae's butt & she kanbonggs him again....but this time lovingly.
I must also give credit to the "best half" for aiding & abetting..here's to you, honey!! |

Hey Moe,
That's would have made a nice finishing touch to the whole thing. Don't worry, I have copies of it all from start to finish. I'll put it all together & send it to all involved......Graphics included.
In parting I leave you with this: Ask not for who the mallet kabonggs, it kabonggs for me!!!

Ralph,
This is kinda bittersweet. I want to thank you for allowing us this dalliance, that made many of us laugh. This thread was a hilarious thread & the many who have commented on it glowingly made it worthwhile.
Once Dyva threw me into Malletcatraz, my original plan was to keep a daily journal. It was to be like R&Bs "Lost Discussion" thread, which was one of the most hilarious threads I've seen here. I was going to act as though I was completly isolated from the forum. In fact, if you look, I didn't post on other threads. I was playing out the part. I had a list of protest songs to sing, it was going to be a basic diary, until my release, which ironically was going to be after the Fathers Day weekend.
I had invented Chet Finkley, who would report on the situation, as news became available. However,
once Wonder & Dollar came to my rescue, I got into it & ran with it. I even incorporated an idea from the "Errrggh" thread, being captured by the "Reddyites" & rendered powerless by a Helen Reddy's Greatest Hits LP. (she happens to be a member of the Errrggh Hall Of Fame, by the way).
I have to thank DyvaNaye, who inspired all of this. Her SD Anonymous thread was a testiment to how much we all loved this site. Dyva, Vonnie, Moe, you & myself invited all to testify how much we all loved Soulful Detroit. Even folks who don't normally involve themselves with such silliness, came in to testify. It was amazing how that thread grew. Ironic, isn't it?
Had it not been for Dyva's enjoyment with the forum, this most creative thread would never have existed. We will post that whole storyline somewhere, someday, as it was a classic. Maybe we can turn it into an ongoing story somewhere!! It was good!!
Finally, thanks go to Wonder B & Dollar Bill for further inspiration. Guys, you definitely raised the bar & helped birth a classic that made some folks laugh.
I'm glad that we got to close this out. I will give a copy to all who liked it.
