AWW Shucks folks!!Thanks so much for your prayers and concerns. Im having a gastric bypass done because im tired of being overweight and "yo yoing" so to speak. ive been going to a geat support group for about nine months now and have done extensive research on the subject. My surgeon is in the top two of bariatric surgeons in Philly and professor of surgery at Temple Hospital. As soon as i get a room number I wil have Vonnie post it. Ill be recuperating at a friend's home, who also had the same surgery so he knows all the ins and outs.(no pun intended) Im not a fraidy cat, as I have been under the knife on four previous occasions so I know what to expect. Ive enlisted paulie(over here) to stand watch for any unlawful intruders(capice??@#$%^&*( Once again,I thank y'all and Ill be Baaaaccck!!!! | ||

Just spoke with Bobby, the nurse called and let me speak with him. He is in Intensive Care, which is to be expected after such long surgery. He is in a lot of pain, but still joking. I have spoken with Bobby and he is doing fine. He is finally out of Intensive Care and in his room. He asked me to Thank all his friends on the forum for their prayers and good wishes. He is able to speak now despite some pain that is to be expected for the next few days. He had one visitor already, Nario who is Howard Tates' conductor. I am posting his room number and telephone number if anyone would like to speak with him. I'm sure he won't mind my doing this, I think it will make his recovery go much faster. Bobby had visitors yesterday, Paulie3shoes and a couple of his friends(goombas). One was named Don the brain and the other Nicky big boom. I wanted to take pictures of this trio, but I was strongly advised that this was a no no. The boys brought some cannolis and a pot of macaronis with gravy that Anna Marie made for Bobby, but I told them he could not have anything to eat. I however gladly ate these goodies . The guys left after spending around 15 mins., they said they had to go and unload a truck. Bobby is doing really well, he tried to log onto the forum yesterday but could not because he is still a little weak. When he feels stronger, he will log on and thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes. | ||

Hello my wonderful friends!! Thank you SO very much for your well wishes and sincere concern. Im feeling better by the day. I had my surgical staples removed today and so I feel less restricted . I actually got to the super market to pick up some odds and ends needed for my dietary needs. Due to the nature of my surgery,open as opposed to the less invasive laproscopic version, it took over five and one half hours as opposed to three. But it didnt matter because the end result, a goal weight of 175 pounds, is well worth a little discomfort. I want to thank my dear friends the Mc Garry's, John, Cathy and Ryan, for inviting me into their beautiful home for my recuperation process. They are truly special people and deserve accolades for taking the time out to make sure that my recovery process is a pleasant one. God Bless and take care. | ||
