Bobby,

Thanks for the info on the "Mashed Potato Time" musicians. You are truly a one-man encyclopedia of musical knowledge!

Bobby - I was recently playing one of my latest additions to my collection, 'The Northern Soul of Philadelphia'. The orignal release of the 'Brothers Guiding Light' track, I think is far better than the earlier effort (acitate?). Always a nice number ever since I first heard it on a 'soul peepers' compilation I bought over here around 1975/6.

It seems odd to me that in a decade marked by so many soulful film soundtracks that there weren't more featuring Philly groups and artists. There was of course, The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh, in 1979; produced by Thom Bell and featuring tracks from Phyllis Hyman, the Spinners, the Sylvers and William Hart; but I can't think of any others. Bobby, did you or any of the other Sigma/MFSB guys do any other soundtrack work in the 70's?

Oh, and here's another one for ya,... how much did you do with the Temprees? I've seen your name in their credits, along with Larry Washington, Earl Young, and Ron Baker. How many sessions did you guys do with them and where was that?
