Hey, are they any Delfonics fans out there?
I have a 45 by the Delfonics "He don't really love You" & B side is "Without You" on Moon shot
#6703. This was released in 1968. Can anyone
tell me if this appear on one of the Delfonics albums. I can't find this hit anyway, but on a 45.
regards, deborah

Deborah,

I'm sure there's many Delfonics fans here
- I've loved them since first hearing "La La
Means I Love You" when it was a brand new release.

The Moonshot single was their second , recorded before they signed to Philly Groove. It was never
issued on an album but I've a feeling one of the tracks has been on a various artists CD. If I can
trace which one I'll post the details.

Deborah:
The Delfonics "He Don't Really Love You" was reissued on a UK CD called "Doctor Good Soul: A Roulette Records Compendium," released through the West Side label. This CD also features the work of Tony Fox, Donald Height, Carol Fran, Bettye Lavette and Los Pop Tops ("Oh Lord, Why Lord"). I have the CD and the quality is excellent.

You may be able to find the CD at a nearby Tower Records or Virgin Megastore.

Good luck,
KevGo

Dr Good Soul is a great cd.

The title track immediately hit my brain when I read your post. Great number.

Deborah. Thom Bell did A soundtrack for the movie The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh and on that soundtrack is a song by the lead singer of the Delfonics William Hart called follow Every Dream a very beautiful song if you like the Delfonics you'll love that song.

Eli here

Moonshot was a label owned by Nate Mc Calla of Calla records (J.J.Jackson, The Fuzz etc.
Morris Levy of Roulette was a silent (or not so silent in this case) partner.
Youve Been Untrue was on Cameo.
Thom Bell played the tympani on He ont Really Love You. Both were recorded at Cameo Parkway studios on Broad stret, the future home of PIR.
Also, Follow That Dream was indeed a great record and was a single but never promoted by the label which was also the movie company. The fish probably loved to eat vinyl as well!!

Mel,

Not a group - Landy is singer / writer /producer Landy McNeal. He started out with the Corsairs
and went into writing / producing when the group
broke up. His name crops up on a lot of NY area
records like the Satisfactions, We The People
and loads more.
