Did Ricky Owens the great Lead singer with The Vibrations once leave them to join The Temptations as a replacement for Eddie Kendricks.And after being selected from over 300 applicants and actually being with The Temptations for 2 Weeks decided to then Leave them?Can anyone recall this and if so can they explain what actually happened,many thanks.MEL.

I've read that he was a stand-in replacement in the Temps for a few weeks in 1971 before they
brought in Damon Harris as Eddie's full time
replacement.

I'm not sure about Ricky being the Vibrations'
lead.
