Is this demo (?) by Kenny Lewis (sp?) recorded in Philly (?) available on CD? [Four question marks in one sentence - is this a record ?????]
And is it true that only one acetate exists in the whole wide world?

If it is Philly related contact Dave Brown at Phillysnd@aol.com .He is quite the historian and if an acetate exists he surely would know.

The uncredited original acetate residing in the UK with Andy Rix (all others are dubs from it/lifted from a radio show which didn't edit it!), was found in Maxx Kidd's basement...and Keni was Maxx's songwriting partner...hence his name was used for it. There was a theory that it might have been L.J.Reynolds but after further inquiries that was dismissed. Don't know if there's much else Andy may wish to add to that?

It might be just a coincidence, but Keni Lewis used to write songs with Gene Chandler -- and in 1970, a different song with the same title ("Not The Marrying Kind") appeared on the B-side of Chandler's hit "Groovy Situation" (Mercury).
The thing is -- while Keni Lewis had written songs with Gene Chandler, "Not The Marrying Kind" was not one of them!
