Well,I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned what a huge party we had at the Clawson the other night. A ton of old faces.....some recognizable & some not,but all enjoying themselves. No comments from anyone else???

We,ve been having hot sunny days and mucho vino y cervesa to be inside this last weekend .Michigan at its finest!!Plus football!!Univ.of Michigan.LOOKOUT! Detroit Lions, well we keep the faith ,but it looks bleak.
Sat. at the Clawson reminded me of the old Pompeii club or the Embassy in windsor,Roses bar on jamboree night,or the westfort tavern on a jamboree night.I can,t remember all the people but here,s a few,Millie,Nick Palise,Dave Kovarick,on sax-Craig Strain on trumpet or coronet.Man you guys were sounding good.Danny Terrell on organ.Dennis Coffey guitar,Steve (the count)drums,Amet, Ed Wolfrum,Deanne James, and a lot more that someone else can help me with.
I sat in with Dennis Coffey and Danny Terrell and we backed up Deanne James singing,it was as if we had been working together for a while,Deanne was really sounding good.the same for Dennis and Danny, what talent!!
In 65 I recorded a 12 minute drum solo at Roses bar for a friend in Vietnam on a reel to reel.It was lost through the years, put on an 8track then cassette.I asked Dennis Coffey who I could get to clean it up to give to my grand kids and he pointed to Ed Wolfrum and said there,s the man to talk to,Ed could,nt have been been nicer,so we,ll be getting together soon.
Lets not forget about THREES A CROWD band, those guys are true professionals,George thanks-all these years and we,re still having a good time.

HEY LYNN,very well said.what more can be said other than if B.GORDY himself was there he would of said, book em.And get to the studio NOW.All that fine talent and professionalism, the humanity,(11 Micholobe)beautiful looking chick's(4 more Micholobes)and it was a smash hit with a bullet if there ever was one.LEE ALAN,CLARK"THE REID KIED",MILLIE,GEORGE "THE KAT",my guy, your guy, everones guy,GUY GILLIS,GEORGE YOUNG,(3 more Micholobes)Anyhow,come-on people, there's more to tell, untill the forum gets back to it's norm. The only regret I have is someone told me it"s the year 2002,bullshit,I got home and at 1:30 my callander said WENSDAY,1959.So rather then argue the fact,I guess it's time to look for some baggy pants with the croutch two inches from the floor, get rid of the D.A. hair,no more points, maybe some BROGANDS. Love To All. Steve "THE COUNT"

Well, I finally got home late last night from our wonderful trip. We had the time of our life. On Thursday, we went to the Clawson for dinner, and to warm up for Friday night. Guy Gillis help me sort through some old tunes, and we played and sang all night long. Al Gordon came by with Millie and Marge, and set his drums up for the big night. Friday was unbelievable. The horn section was beyond belief. Steve Gronis joined in with a couple of drum numbers, and this wonderful singer that I didn't know did some swing numbers that were fabulous. There were singers, players, and many long time friends out in the audience. Seeing Dave and Pam Kovarik was so great, and hearing Nick, and George and Denny and the rest play was a thrill. George Young gave us a few tunes, and a few laughs which he was always famous for. Dennis Coffey was awesome...what can be said about his playing...he is a master. I felt so honored to be on stage with a group of musicians that were so talented and so full of energy. I didn't want the night to end. It was great seeing Clark Reed, Lee Alan, Artie Fields, Jack Barr, Marty Lotty, Jay Orlando and so many others. Jay nearly killed me on the dance floor..how can you explain that you hadn't done the half time in twenty five years. My thanks to Three's Company for hosting the best reunion party we could ask for. My sincere thanks to all of my friends that came by to enjoy the night with us. The forum is totally responsible for all of this, so my gratitude to all of you for keeping the memories of Detroit alive and well.
