Can anyone help!! I have an Lp by Willie&West on Stang Records titled At Their Best #1008,the cover notes give a good discription of the two guys past history but their sernames are not to be found on the cover or the labels!! The album is very good not like any of the All Platinum recordings,this album is pure late 60s Soul! the cover notes inform that the guys hale from Augusta Georgia and that the was part of the Bertrum Cann&The Mustangs who performed in the New York City area. Willie&West At Their Best.

I believe that Wilie may have been Wilie Feaster of Willie and the Mighty Magnificents on All Platinum. There was also someone with the last name of West in another group but the name of the act eludes me at this time.

Bobby's right - Willie is Willie Feaster.
His group were the studio band for most of
the early All Platinum / Stang releases.

Can't remember "West"'s full name offhand.

Bobby, there's a Willie West from New Orleans who
was singer with the mighty Meters for a while
- maybe that's who you're thinking of.
