Deborah, You can find all those tracks on the Marvelettes' somewhat recently released Ultimate Collection. If you're talking about actual vinyl albums you'll have to find a copy of their old anthology set to find all three.

William "Mickey" Stevenson says he cut "I'll Keep Holding On," one my favorites, in New York, not Detroit. The Marvelettes were doing a show there and he wanted to record it then and there.

Current CD is "The Ultimate Collection". They were also all on the now deleted "Deliver: The Singles", and "Compact Command Performances" CDs.

They were probably all on the mid-70s Anthology LP, but I can't say for sure since I did not own it and don't have a track list handy.

Regards,
Ken

Deborah I have the old Marvelettes Anthology album an all three are on it as I indicated previously. I know because I would pick up the needle and go to the next track "You're My Remedy" whenever "You're a Good Guy" started playing. It's my least favorite Smokey Robinson song of all time. You won't, to my knowledge find, "You're a Good Guy Yes He Is on any other vinyl album. But it is on all the CDs mentioned.

That's right Deborah you can find those songs on the Ultimate Collection by The Marvelettes. A great set I play mine almost everyday.

From the days of vinyl, in addition to the sources mentioned above:

"He's a Good Guy" first appeared on "Marvelous Marvelettes" (1963)
"I'll Keep Holding On first appeared on "16 Original Big Hits - Volume 5" (1966)
"You're the One" first appeared on "Sophisticated Soul" (1968)

No big deal, but Nabob the Marvelous Marvelettes was one of my favorite Marvelettes' albums and thankfully "You're a Good Guy (Yes He Is) was not on it. That song first appeared in the Marvelettes' anthology album.

Now it's possible the album has been reissued in CD format with some added tracks but the original vinyl album contained the tracks listed below.

TM-237 - The Marvelous Marvelettes - Marvelettes [2/63] Originally issued in mono only. Strange I Know/I Forgot About You/Locking Up My Heart/Which Way Did He Go/Silly Boy//It's Gonna Take A Lot Of Doing/Smart Aleck/My Daddy Knows Best/Too Strong To Be Strung Along/Why Must You Go

Besides the A and B-sides from this album I liked "I Forgot About You," "Too Strong To Be Strung Along" and "Which Way Did He Go."

Someone is reading my mind cos these are some of my all time favourites too. Of course, there is another one too.....The Boy From Crosstown!!

What did you all think of "Poor Little Rich Girl" on Cellarful of Motown. I thought that was a real neat song and overwhelmed with its inclusion.

Poor Little Rich Girl - very lush and rich sounding. It has grown on me. Sounds movie inspired.
