Does anyone know where Patti Drew is? Please email me and let me know at MsLadySoul@aol.com
I'm looking to get in contact with her. She had 2 hits, "Working on a groovy thing and "Tell Him" in 1967 and 1968.

Patti Drew is from Evanston, IL and is probably either there or Chicago. Her mentor, who name escapes me now (he owned TwiNight and Twilight Records) pull the plug of her career years ago when she relocated to Los Angeles and fell in with the wrong crowd. He made a promise to Patti's parents that if she went astray he would bring her home and he did.
She first recorded "Tell Him" with the DrewVells then redid it when she went solo.
I loved her voice.

Andrew,
The guy you're thinking of is Peter Wright who
also managed the New Colony Six
Patti had a one-off single around '73 for the
Chicago based Innovation II label - can't
recall the exact title but it may be "The
Mighty O.J" about a certain Mr. Simpson

Right Davie, it was Peter Wright, who is still active in Chicago with various enterprises, some dealing with entertainment.

Another reactivation of an old thread...question, who else was in the DrewVels, as I love their stunning Latin-esque Capitol 45, "It's my time".

Carlton Black, who also sang with the Naturals at virtually the same time, and the Duvals before that; and Patti's sisters: Erma and Lorraine Drew.
