Mel - I think the Timmy Shaw flip side is Thunder In My Heart - I'll have to check; but the label is Bon, not Bow.
What's the William Powell song on Powerhouse like?
Best wishes,
Graham

Graham, the William Powell track is absolutley superb. Also very rare,if you can get to hear it,you will not be dissapointed.(at least I Hope not)different strokes & all that, but personally I rate it.(not that my word is anything to go by).I saw it on a bootleg L.P.Around 1984,must be worth around a grand, but dont quote me,as Im not up to date ,on my sounds,as I should be.Hope you can get to hear it at sometime.MEL.

Mel - It's "Thunder In My Heart" for defo'. This is quite an early recording - 1962.
The Johnny Burke 45 is a boot isn't it? I thought the label name was Joanne - which I'd presumed to be a reference to Joanne Bratton.
The Cody Balck B-side is (Keep Your Baby Home Or) You'll Be Sorry.
The label is GIG (not GI-GI) and was another one of Mike Hanks'.

The flip of the Kell Osbourne is "The Lonely Boy Sound" or "The Lonely Boy Song", not sure which. I do have a tape with both sides of the single on it.

The William Powell track is on a great CD from Goldmine, "For Millionaires Only" (GSCD 99). Since it was pressed in a limited quantity, I'm not sure if it's still available. Worth picking up if you can get it, though.

Best,

Mark

For the few of us who don't know, "My First Lonely Night" by Jewel Akens was the first American track to use the melody of Kyu Sakamoto's hit "Sukiyaki". This was probably 15 or 16 years before Taste of Honey had a hit with it (using the title "Sukiyaki" but singing different lyrics than Akens).

Best,

Mark

Extra trivia...the Rosa Lee Brookes disc on Revis features Jimi Hendrix on guitar and one side is co-written by his mate Arthur Lee of the group Love.
"The UT" is a belting uptempo NS track as once spun by Guy Hennigan...and boy can you tell it's Jimi on guitar during the instrumental break!
