This one caught me totally unawares! A few of you specialists just might already know about it, but pick up a copy of John Ridley's (QUITE a success story this JR) 2002 masterpiece, "CONVERSATIONS WITH THE MANN".

I stayed up almost all night and did a speed reading of it... yes all 400-and-then-some pages of it. It was very much worth the effort, and wait til ya check out the totally fanciful and SURPRISING MOTOWN CONNECTION! This is a beautifully layered work of FICTION with historical overtones published by Warner Books.

An MGM MOVIE is very much in preparation! My fellow Motown fans, do yourself a BIG favor and pick this one up before the film is done!

p.s. I know a lot of you will peek by just doing an internet search first (I probably would). But it's cool! The surprise won't be spoiled cause the book itself is just that GOOD.

I'll give ya a clue... ahhh, NEVER MIND!!

John Ridley is a wonderful writer and I have scooped up his other novels as well - recommended. In addition, Ridley wrote for film the modern classic 'Three Kings,' and developed 'Undercover Brother,' which leapt from an internet cartoon to a feature film... one in which Eddie Griffin, playing the lead character, gets to shout "Holy Motown!"

Very cool, Harry. You're always so up on everything that's good and worth knowing... and often at the very center of it all.
