I have just written the booklet notes for an upcoming UK CD of the Impressions ABC recordings (well the CD will contain 28 or so of them at least).

I have a copy of the group's Spanish released 45 of "We're A Winner / Nothing Can Stop Me" which came in a picture sleeve (this features a colour picture of the group performing live on stage) and this will probably be illustrated in the booklet.
However it would be great to get hold of an old ad / handbill (in jpeg format) for an Impressions 60's live show (at the Regal, Apollo or any Chicago, Detroit or other city club date) to use as well.
Can anyone provide me with such an item ???

You may want to reach out to Robert Pruter, the author of the book "Chicago Soul." He may have a photo or two of Curtis & the Impressions.

Also, in the MCA Records USA release of the Impressions/Curtis Mayfield anthology from 1992, there is a photo of the Impressions with Patti Labelle & the Bluebells onstage at the Apollo Theatre. You may want to contact Andy McKaie (MCA USA's chief of reissues at Universal City, California)who oversaw the production of this collection regarding the photo.

I will also contact Eddie Thomas in Chicago to see if he has something to offer. He's VERY protective of his memorabilia but I'll see if I can him to at least scan and email the photo to you.
