I really enjoyed the series of releases by Junior back in the eighties. In fact we got to be good friends until we lost touch. Does anyone in the U. K. know what he is up to these days?

Good question! I'd like to know myself. His song "Mama Use To Say" was my jam and the lyrics were on the money.

"Mama Used To Say" is one of those timeless grooves. I have the 12" version on CD & crank it up on the regular !

I've been trying to re-connect with Junior. Does anyone know if he has a website or e-mail?

I liked Junior as well. I really thought both he and Richard "Dimples" Fields made a valiant effort in the early 80s to return soul music to it's roots. I had Junior's "Ji" LP and Fields' "Mr. Look So Good!" LP.
It's shame the trends that were to soon come about cut their careers way too short (the same trends that turned Ray Parker Jr. from a solid soul man into a bland "Ghostbusters" pop star. Ugh.). Junior sounded quite a bit like Stevie Wonder......."Too Late" was the other hit off that "Ji" LP, BTW.
