Just thought I would pass along the news that Dean Parrish will soon be back in the UK.
He will be the star live attraction at a Wigan Casino 30th Anniversary event put on by Russ Winstanley to be held on 23rd August.
While in the UK, Dean will be staying with Tommy Hunt at his house in Yorkshire.

What's new with Tommy Hunt? Is he still recording? I love his Scepter/Dynamo work.

Kev,

I recall an interview that Tommy gave to Soul Survivor magazine some time ago. He said that he is still in-demand for clubs in the UK and that he also has sang on some cruise ships as well.

I had to laugh when he related the story about calling his Mom back in the States and she didn't recognize his voice, he now has something of a British accent having been in the UK for so long.

Best,

Mark

Hey Mark!
Great to hear from you, amigo! Thanks for the 411 on Tommy Hunt. I have the Ace/Kent CD of his Scepter/Dynamo work ("The Biggest Man") and it's great stuff, especially "I Don't Know What To Do With Myself", "Coming On Strong", "This & Only This," "I Am A Witness" and the title track.

Tommy nearly got back together in the studio with Swamp Dogg after a trip to the States last Year. However the pair fell out over the business side of the arrangements so it all fell through.
Tommy hasn't recorded in the UK in years (& there doesn't seem much prospect that he will soon) but he still performs on a regular basis here & on the continent.
