I am in Philly and I am loving every minute of it..I am here for the week with Ludie.
I am meeting all my friends from the forum, Weldon, Bobby, Vonnie, & Randy...
I am here at Bobby's place listening to some awesome tracks he has produced (he's a Genius)
It's so wonderful to meet people who's music I have loved and grew up with, also seeing all of Weldon's photos was amazing too..
I can feel the music in the air

Vickie - have a great time in Philadelphia. You will be well looked after. Don't forget to go to Reading Market too. There are some great food stalls there and of course, the celebrated Bassett's ice cream. Have a large vanilla for me and mention my name. They will then ask you 'who'?

For records and CDs check out stores such as Sound Of Market and Funk-O-Mart - they sell a lot of R&B music in Philly.
When are you heading to NYC?

The last two days have been such fun and a joy having finally met Vickie, Ludie and their friend Terri Holmes from L.A.
Vonnie and I had a ball hanging out, eating, talking, travelling here and there and laughing it up with some of the "wonderfullest" ladies we had have ever met.
Today we went to Val Shiveley's record shop and hung out there for a while, afterwhich we went out for dinner and had a bunch more laughs.
We even ran into good ol' paulie 3 shoes(over here) and he joined us for a drink(or 2 or 3 or....)
We will miss our friends and we wish them a safe flight back to tinsel town!!
SD has forged some everlasting friendships.

Thank you Bobby,
I have made life long friends working on this book with Ludie..
I have grown as a person and as a writer..
I am grateful for all of you in Philly that helped to make this visit extra special..I knew I was in for a wonderful trip when I got off the plane, and the first song on the radio was Ain't No Mountain High Enough, I felt6 it was my welcome. Then at my hotel there was both a Marvin & a Tammi working, then at the library there was a Terrell that assisted us(yes, named after Tammi) So I felt I was in the right moment, at the right place at the right time...
I so loved Philly and I can't wait to rerturn, it was simply inspiring to be there..I can't even describe it...
