OFFICIAL EDWIN TRIBUTE CONCERT
A concert in tribute to Edwin will be held in Tamworth, near to where Edwin lived for many years.

The concert will be held on
Sunday 28th September
at Tamworth Assembly Rooms, a fine Victorian theatre in the heart of the town. Tamworth is located in the south east of Staffordshire, at the centre of England, 15 miles north-east of Birmingham.
The most incredible and unique gathering of soul icons will be gathered together for this fantastic tribute. Headlining to date will be Edwin's band -

Amazing, Edwin's youngest brother Angelo is working under the name Starr now.

Some elders have told me that Edwin Starr's mother would have been a great gospel singer if she had pursue it; instead she gave it up to work and raise her four children.

Brian, Edwin's two children (one adopted) live in the States. Edwin has a sister Patty (who lives in Cleveland), a brother Terry (Las Vegas?); Angelo is the baby, he's about 7 or 8 years younger than the next youngest sibling Terry. It was Edwin who named him Angelo.

Due to an unprecedented demand for tickets the evening performance has now SOLD OUT but a matinee performance has been scheduled for 4pm.
Geno and the Real Thing are unable to attend this matinee but other guests will be announced
