On July 03 on my first or second evening of logging-on to this Forum,I set a thread called "Here's some testers".One of my questions was "why no remastering/reissuing of BW's Sussex albums from early 70's"
No one "bit" and c'est la vie.....since then, plenty input from and to me on this great Forum....and then,my Subscibers' copy of August Mojo hits my floor this morning and as I scan quickly before work.....an article on BW and a byline that says "Still Bill" out sometime soon on CD !! --- I got the buzz I used to get 25 years ago when I'd read in Melody Maker/NME/Sounds of the imminent arrival of a fave artists' latest LP....Soulful Detroit.com is contributing to that buzz....
I read Ralph's post yesterday that BW sang/spoke at Skip Scarborough's funeral--that touched me on its' own-- and now,with the news of "Still Bill"'s imminent arrival I'm mentally revisiting BW's class tunes and looking forward to reading the article tomorrow(or later today now in uk).
If anybody knows if BW's other Sussex albums are gonna get reissued.....pls post here !!!

'Still Bill' was reissued by Sony Music in the U.S. in January of this year, with two live bonus tracks, adding to the 'Live At Carnegie Hall' reissue from 1997.

One of my fondest memories was seeing Bill Withers at the Academy of Music in Philly to a sold out house in the prime of his career, just when Use Me was a smash!!
